Italy Trip with the Bumble Bees – Milan

The weather really picked up when we got to Milan – blue sky, sunny weather, ideal for the appearance of shorts and attempting to tan up.

It is easy to get around with trams and the metro. We started off wandering around the castle (Castello Sforzesco) and park area (Parco Sempione). The architecture of the castle is interesting with these round domey towers – guess they were some form of watch towers. The castle was at the "top" of Milan, where a wall was built from there and around the rest of city in its past times.

I can't help but do more photoshoot-styled photos with my hired lens. Here, you can find Arco della Pace and Parco Sempione in the background. We're rather photogenic, aren't we? ;)

In the evening, we walked by the canal and had dinner there – the restaurant we went to was a pure robbery, won't recommend! The canal was lovely though. We even found another place that did good wine fora reasonable price.

We also climbed to the top of the cathedral where you can see the stone columns even closer. It was a nice little hike in the warm and sunny weather.

Not only was it Danielle's birthday on this leg of the trip, Tyra rejoined! We simply had a wonderful time enjoying good pizzas and wine. Milan was an interesting place. Whilst I don't think it's my type of city, it has a lot to offer. The sheer size offers a lot for people with different interest. Definitely would come back for a proper exploration.
